Currently, our College is open to Grade 8 students.
From 2027, we’ll expand to Grade 9, with higher grades following soon after on our new, purpose-built campus in Green Pastures.
Forest Edge College sprouted from several established, like-minded local schools coming together to benefit Knysna’s youth. Today, it offers teenagers a quality, private education within their hometown.

Regular physical activity is part of our approach to healthy living and emotional well-being. Private sports coaching is available to college students and we look forward to an extended sports programme at our new 40+ hectare campus in Green Pastures.
Our cultural appreciation and expression initiatives nurture confidence and communication skills, as learners participate in musical and dramatic performances throughout the year – exploring rhythm, storytelling, and stage presence.
With classes capped at 24 students, Forest Edge College maintains high academic standards.
We ensure that all learners enjoy personalised attention and support from our highly qualified teachers and support staff.
Our teachers educate through hands-on projects – blended learning opportunities, outdoor lessons, and themed days that keep learning exciting and relevant for our teenagers.
